Compete: Google Edges Closer To 70 Percent

So much for the law of big numbers. At Google, getting big hasn't kept the company from getting bigger.
Compete blogger Jeremy Crane reported the December 2007 Web Search Market Share and Volume the firm tracks for the five major search sites. There was little movement percentage-wise for each engine.
From November 2007, Google's share rose 0.2 percent. Third place Microsoft increased from 9 to 9.1 percent. Number five AOL moved from 1.6 percent to 1.7.
The other two search engines, Yahoo and Ask, gave away little increments in December as compared to the month prior. Second place Yahoo dropped to 17 percent, and Ask lost 0.2 percent to 3.6.
