Description

DBSystem Creator includes a database designer that allows you to visually design database structure. It is purely written in Java (using the Swing GUI toolkit and providing customizable and consistent look-and-feel) to provide cross-platform functionality, and runs on any Java 1.3 (or higher) enabled platform. Using DBSystem Creators Reengineer Wizard you can import an existing database and modify its structure. You can select the tables, views or relations that you want to import from the existing database. DBSystem Creator lets you create a database from Java source files, each class being mapped to a database class. Data type conversion between Java data types and SQL data types is automatically carried out. The Database Generator module automatically generates database structure for most leading DBMSs (including Oracle, Sybase, MS Access etc.) through the Optimal Middleware Java component. DBSystem Creators Code Generator module generates Java/Visual Basic code for data manipulation methods (such as selecting, inserting and deleting records, updating records and selecting records based on a custom filter) for the selected tables. It automatically converts SQL data types to Java/VB data types and generates additional code for database connection and exception handling.
